14K gold is 58.5% pure gold. It is harder and more scratch-resistant than 18K, which makes it the everyday choice for rings and bracelets.

18K gold is 75% pure gold. The colour is richer and warmer, and it carries a higher intrinsic value.

Platinum is naturally white and hypoallergenic, so it never needs re-plating. It is the densest and most durable of the three.
